676 - Artifacts #1 & #2

Artifact #1

Classroom Application for Collaborative Web Tools

The reason why I choose this assignment as an artifact because not only did it allow me to further investigate Seesaw but I learned how to use Canva to create an infographic.  Learning how to use Canva is a real easy way to share information with others.  I can use Canva to provide information on a topic in a way that is not over whelming for the reader.  I have never used infographics as a form of communication but after completing this assignment I can see how this can benefit me as a teacher.  I can easily sharing important points about a tool, app, or program that I want my students to use.  The infographic can provide parents, teachers, and even administrators with the main reasons why the tool, app, or program is beneficial for students.

Artifact #2

Creating A Collaborative Task Using Seesaw

I choose this assignment as one of my artifacts because I learned to use a digital tool to encourage collaboration among students.  Using the digital tool, Seesaw, for this assignment will allow students to work collaboratively with little or no help from the teacher.   This tool allows me to provide students with an audio of the instructions that they can listen to if they need to.  Having students use Seesaw to complete this activity also provides them with the option to use the camera to take pictures or make a video recording of their work.  They also have the choice to use audio to demonstrate knowledge.  I was also able to provide them with an example of what to look for as well as a checklist so that they can keep track of their work.
