My Reflection on the Sharing My Story Assignment

I choose this as an artifact because in completing this assignment I realized that my newsletters were not successful because they contained to much information.  I learned that my newsletters were not clear or eye appealing for parents because they were filled with lots of clip art and not organized..  Learning how to include information that was clear and consise and adding some real pictures made a difference.  This newletter that I created was not difficult and it contains information about what is going on in the classroom  I did not even have to use clip art like I always do.  I am also thinking of creating a class web page and linking the newsletter so that parents have access to it.  Doing this will eliminate make copies to send which probably get lost anyways.  Sharing information by creating newsletters will keep families up to date on what is going in their child's classroom.  I can also post a copy on my parent board so that visitors can see a glimpse of our classroom.
