Reflection

 My Reflection

By taking this course I have gained new knowledge that I can and will apply to my practice.  I learned how to use digital tools to give a past activity a technology upgrade.  This course has aspired me to dive deeper into Seesaw.  I have gained new ideas of how to use Seesaw so that my students complete tasks independently or collaboratively with their peers.  Implementing Seesaw into my instruction is going to be such an asset because I can create performance tasks for students that will provide me with data about their learning.  By having students comeplete tasks with Seesaw I will be able to set goals and meet students needs so much quicker.  I will also have a digital place where student work will be stored and easily accessed to share with parents or administration.  Another tool that I learned about was Canva.  Canva is a tool that I learned to use to make an infographic.  There are other tools that can be used but I found Canva to be very easy to learn.  I quickly created an infographic that I could give to the families of my students.  I think another big gain for me was learning how to use Twitter as a collaborative tool.  I had no idea or would have ever thought that social media could be used in such a way.  The day that all of students in this course shared our thoughts on Twitter was a great experience.  I will not be able to try the Twitter collaboration with my students but I can definitely use it with my colleagues.  I am going to be running a PLC with teachers in my school and this can be an activity that I can do with them.
